Mizuno unveils new soft compression balls

Mizuno has launched two new soft compression balls, the RB566 and the RB566V.

Mizuno has launched two new soft compression balls featuring new dimple patterns and higher energy cores for players seeking greater carry and longer distance.

The new RB566 ball is Mizuno’s softest compression model in the current range and will suit players with mid-to-slow swing speeds, while the RB566V is a three-piece construction designed for maximum velocity at launch that will suit players of all swing speeds.

Both models feature a new 566 D-dimple design which has been engineered to delay the rate of descent past the apex of the flight, but the V delivers a slightly higher launch angle.

Norikazu Ninomiya, product spokesman for Mizuno Japan, said: “We can now produce even softer compression balls that prolong their flight through aerodynamics. A softer core works to elevate trajectory and straighten flight – and now there’s no trade off in distance.”

RRPs: RB566 (per dozen): £25/€27. RB566V: £35/€39
