Mizuno has unveiled two distinctively different style of golf footwear for Spring/Summer 2020 in the shape of the Wave Cadence Spikeless and Genem GTX shoes.
The Wave Cadence Spikeless (RRP £140/€150) is a lightweight shoe built for enhanced comfort. This comes courtesy of a new one-piece ‘booty’ structure in which the tongue is connected to the lining to provide a more comfortable fit.
Based on Mizuno’s Wave Platform, the Wave Cadence Spikeless blends the comfort and support of a high-end running shoe, with the lateral stability and traction needed for golf.
It also boasts a sole made from carbon rubber, an Extremely durable compound used in high impact areas extends the life of the shoe. The soft-touch Kuraray upper is breathable and waterproof to 20,000mm and comes with a two-year waterproof warranty.
The Genem GTX (RRP £220/€249) is a new full-leather premium golf shoe that has been developed specifically for the European market. Fully waterproof and breathable courtesy of a GORE-TEX membrane, it also boasts the Wave running plaform and features a lace-free BOA closure system that tightens and loosens via a dial on the side.
The spikes can be tightened and released quickly and even re-aligned for direction. With a soft-feeling PU insole and durable TPU outsole, the shoe offers a blend of comfort and performance.
