MD Golf has announced its new club line-up for the 2022 season with the introduction of the Superstrong STR40 driver, fairway metal, hybrid, driving iron and wedge offering golfers top quality, affordable products delivered direct to their door.
Founded by entrepreneurs Michael Morton and David Millsopp in 1999, MD Golf now has a global presence with distribution operations in Malaysia, South Africa, Australia and in the EU, however following a brand restructure in the UK the new STR40 range is only available online at www.mdgolf.co.uk and at the brand store in Antrim, Northern Ireland, allowing golfers to purchase premium golf clubs constructed from exceptional components without having to pay additional costs associated with the traditional pro shop model.
The new Superstrong STR40 driver has been designed with a classic 460cc driver head shape in a stunning black PVD finish and will suit a wide range of game improvers who want the winning combination of distance off the tee and forgiveness on off-centre strikes, aided by a high Moment of Inertia (MOI). The 10.5° driver is priced at £99 and comes fitted with an Apollo Balistik graphite shaft.
The Superstrong STR40 fairway metal (15°) and Superstrong STR40 hybrid (18°) are also competitively priced at £79 each. MD engineers designed both clubs with forgiveness and a towering ball flight in mind, with weight moved to the perimeter of the fairway and hybrid and the centre of gravity low and deep in the clubhead. The versatility of the clubs will ensure excellent results from the tee, fairway or rough and like the driver, both the fairway and hybrid are fitted with an Apollo Balistik graphite shaft.
The new Superstrong STR40 driving iron (18°) will give golfers who prefer a long-iron over a rescue club off the tee a great fairway finding option, but the versatility and ease-of-use will allow them to also utilise it for approach shots into longer holes too. It is attractively priced at just £69. The driver, fairway metal, hybrid and driving iron are offered in either stiff or regular flex.
MD Golf designers have also created a Superstrong STR40 wedge (52°, 56° and 60°) which is available now in a gorgeous Gunmetal Black finish. The specially designed grooves on the wedge have been CNC milled and a surface roughness between them combine to present golfers with an incredible offering at a hugely competitive price of just £60.
“When we created MD Golf, we wanted to offer people the opportunity to use great products without having to make financial compromises in other areas of their life,’ says Morton. ‘However, we couldn’t continue to do this and service professionals’ shops and retailers without either vastly reducing the quality of the components and lowering our prices or continue to use the same parts and manufacturing expertise and increase costs accordingly. The best option was to keep on making fantastic golf clubs but sell direct to the consumer, passing the savings straight on to them – something that is at the very essence of the MD brand.”.
This new strategy means golfers can buy incredible products at up to 50% off a standard RRP if MD had been selling in pro shops and by using super-reliable couriers DHL, golfers can receive their product the very next working day (if ordered by 2pm). It is this customer service that has helped deliver a Five Star Trustpilot rating, as well as a ‘no quibble’ returns policy.
