Golf GameBook is now available on all major smartphone platforms from the App Store, Google Play, Samsung Apps, BlackBerry World and Windows Phone Store.
One of Golf GameBook’s advantages is its sophisticated but easy-to-use score entry system. All the popular game formats are included, and users can share scores on social media platforms instantly.
Via its mobile live scoring function, golfers can keep score in multiple groups and track leaderboards hole-by-hole. An in-app chat-style commenting option, similar to Facebook, allows users to interact with friends while they stroll the fairways.
To complement this, Golf GameBook has its online service where all games, and larger tournaments, can be recorded from the app for live tournament scoring – all for free.
Mikko Rantanen, CEO of GameBook Inc, said: “Golfers have been calling for the app to be made available on the Windows platform and now it is here, and can be downloaded for free. Golfers around the world are enjoying the fun and functionality that Golf GameBook offers and with the launch of the Windows platform, even more players can now take their enjoyment of the game to a new level.”
As part of Golf GameBook’s growing corporate business, which has included work for Volvo, HSBC and Audi, it is currently working alongside BMW, Official Vehicle Partner of the Ryder Cup, to power the ‘BMW Road to Gleneagles 2014’ – a free-to-enter competition that gives UK golfers who download and use the app, the chance to win a VIP trip to Gleneagles to watch golf’s biggest spectacle.
