Three lucky golfers are on their way to the 2014 Ryder Cup thanks to a special promotion run by Glenmuir at The Golf Show in Harrogate.

The renowned Scottish company is the preferred supplier of shirts and knitwear to the European Ryder Cup team and gave away tickets to the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles every day at the recent exhibition.

The lucky winners of a pair of ground tickets each were: James Funnell, Director of Golf at Waterford Castle Golf Shop, Ireland; Belinda McSherry of Yelverton Golf Club, Devon; and Chris Cole, Head Pro at Beamish Park Golf Club, Durham.

Glenmuir and Sunderland’s impressive open-plan stand was well-visited by PGA Professionals, with the companies registering an increase in business booked at the show compared to last year.

Said Glenmuir and Sunderland Managing Director Designate, Mikhel Ruia: “I was impressed by the number of PGA Professionals that supported the show and was delighted with the opportunity to meet with this important audience.

“For Glenmuir and Sunderland, PGA Professionals remain essential to the success of our business and the Golf Show gave us a great platform to showcase our 2014 seasonal collections as well as introduce the new 2014 Ryder Cup Fanwear range.

“Next year is going to be an important year for Glenmuir and golf in Europe, particularly Scotland. Any PGA Professional can associate themselves with this unique event and capitalise on its impact through our Fanwear Collection and our official 2014 Ryder Cup crested products, and it was good to communicate this in a show environment.”

Glenmuir is the preferred supplier of shirts and knitwear to the European Ryder Cup Team and is a brand at the forefront of the golfwear industry since 1891.
