Foresights Sports, traditionally known for its cutting-edge golf simulator and launch monitor technology, has broken new ground with the launch of a remote-controlled electric golf trolley.

Launched in the US in 2020, but now available in Europe for the first time, the Forecaddy Smart Cart is a premium four-wheeled power trolley which offers four modes of operation – remote, follow, power assist and manual.

In Remote mode, golfers can used the supplied remote control to navigate the trolley around the course; in Follow mode, users simply clip the remote to their belt or trousers and the trolley will follow them wherever they go, although Foresight advises that this mode should only be used in the fairway with at last 7.5 feet of space on either side; Power Assist mode offers a little extra help when pushing the trolley up steeper slopes, while Manual mode offers the traditional hands-on experience.

The cart features a single-button folding system and a removable lithium battery that cover 36 holes on a single charge. It also features a ball and scorecard holder, and a connection for charging a GPS unit or smartphone.

It has an RRP of £1,950, excluding VAT.
