Danish brand ECCO – maker of the world’s most comfortable, stylish and technically-advanced footwear – announces its 2012 women’s golf collection, highlighted by Golf  Street models in a wide range of fresh designs and fun colours. The collection is available from Spring 2012.

Handcrafted from luxurious leathers exclusively at ECCO-owned factories, all shoes in the latest collection are designed and constructed using the Scandinavian principle that form must follow function. This foot-first approach to shoe making merges with the company’s use of direct-injection technology to ensure unrivaled durability, flexibility, lightness and weather resistance.

“Golf Streethas been a global smash hit and early response to new designs has been remarkably strong,” says Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO. “Similarly, the initial success of BIOM Golf at retail and on the LPGA Tour has led us to expand the collection in its second year.”

Based on the idea that golf shoes don’t have to look like golf shoes,Golf Streetis a hybrid sport-casual shoe perfectly suited for the course or the city. Its distinctive uppers feature high-fashion leathers and finishes alongside subtle patterning, bright colors and silver rivet detailing. The ingenious outsole has highly-durably molded TPU traction bars that boast hundreds of traction angles for superb grip in all conditions.

The ECCO women’s golf collection is worn in competition by scores of international Tour stars, including Belen Mozo, Gerina Piller and Jennifer Johnson.
