Edinburgh-based Royal & Awesome, known for its loud and proud golf apparel, is behind the new range – which includes trousers, shorts, and caps in Doddie’s iconic blue and yellow tartan – to support My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, with 15% of every sale going directly to funding research into MND.
The eye-catching range, which launched this week, has already made its mark with Scottish rugby hero Kenny Logan, Weir’s friend and former teammate, who is one of the first to wear the striking new outfits.
The collection includes tartan trews (£54.99), tartan shorts (£44.99) and a flat cap (£19.99), and is on sale now via the Royal & Awesome website.

Graeme Smeaton, founder of Royal and Awesome, said: “If there was ever someone who embodied what Royal & Awesome aspires to be, it was Doddie Weir. He was brave, bold, and brilliant and he knew an outstanding pair of trews when he saw them.
“My Name’5 Doddie Foundation is doing incredible work to fund vital MND research, and we look forward to donations from the sale of these limited-edition products raising more funds to support the continued efforts to find a cure.”
Paul Thompson, Director of Fundraising, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, added: “Royal & Awesome is a brand that focuses on having fun and making an impact, and that’s exactly what Doddie was all about. We’re sure this range will be highly sought after and hope to see many friends and supporters of Doddie and beyond sporting the range as the golf season fast approaches.”
Launched in 2012, Royal & Awesome produce high-quality golf attire worn by the likes of Ally McCoist, Ian Wright, Darren Gough, and Sir Steve Redgrave, and will donate 15% of every sale to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
