Customised golf trolleys launched by Motocaddy

8.52am 24th June 2011 - New Products

Motocaddy, the top-selling electric trolley brand, has launched a ground-breaking online service called MyCaddy that allows golfers to personalise their trolley for the first time.

As part of this service, any trolley designed and processed via a special Pro Shop online log-in offers retailers the opportunity to benefit from an additional royalty on each sale.

“Just as customised golf clubs are commonplace, so we believe more powered trolleys will be personalised in the future,” said Sales Director Neil Parker. “But because we value our relationship with trade customers so much, we’ve designed the MyCaddy trolley builder with our retailers firmly in mind to ensure they benefit from increased profitability per sale,” he added.

Available this month through its popular website www.motocaddy.com, the easy-to-use service offers golfers the chance to choose from a number of custom frame and wheel colours, plus add a name or distinctive message to set them apart from the rest.

The MyCaddy service guides the site visitor through six simple steps to find the best combination of trolley model, frame colour, wheels, battery option, cart bag and personalisation text on both sides of the frame handle.

To add to the three standard colours of black, titanium and alpine white, Motocaddy has introduced special edition frame colours – a red for the S1 Digital trolley and blue for the S3 Digital model – that can be matched with one of five wheel colour options.

To power the trolley, the customer selects either a Panasonic Standard Range, Panasonic Extended Range or a top of the range Motocaddy Lithium battery.

A special personalisation text option then allows golfers to mark the trolley with their name or golfing nickname in a choice of three different fonts. And before the order is placed, a computer-generated image of the trolley design offers a chance to make any final changes to its appearance before the purchase is confirmed.

“The MyCaddy service adds more fun and personality to the game of golf,” said Oliver Churcher, Marketing Manager. “Golfers can now express themselves by making their golf trolley totally unique to them.”

The maximum cost of designing a MyCaddy trolley with customised frame, wheels and text is £80, in addition to the standard RRP prices of £299.99 for the S1 Digital and £399.99 for the S3 Digital (both with a Panasonic Standard Range Battery). The MyCaddy service is available online and orders will be delivered within ten working days.
