Cobra launches Liverpool-themed limited edition golf bags

12.11pm 17th July 2023 - New Products

Cobra Golf has created a limited-edition golf bag in celebration of The 151st Open Championship being staged in Liverpool.

The logo on the side of the bag resembles the Liverpool city sign, which players and fans will be greeted with when they arrive in the birthplace of The Beatles. The red-and-white stripes on each side represent the barbershop from Penny Lane and Crown Jewels and the British Monarchy are represented on the base of the bag.  As an extra touch, the inside lining of the bag boasts imagery of the iconic, double-sided clock at the Royal Liverpool clubhouse.

Cobra is also providing its staff players at Royal Liverpool with a set of bespoke headcovers, each of which is designed to mimic the outfits the Beatles wore on the cover of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

“The Open Championship showcases the tradition and rich history of golf,” said Markus McCaine, Marketing Director, Cobra Golf. “Our goal was to utilize symbols from the historic city and rich musical heritage that originated in Liverpool.  As the major season comes to a close, we wanted to release one more bag that celebrates the oldest and most storied championship in golf and our players are excited to carry that with them this week.”

Although the staff bag will only be available to Cobra’s staff players competing in the Open Championship field, a limited-edition Open Championship Stand Bag, with all the same features, will be available for consumers at retail and at www.cobragolf.com from today, priced at $650.
