Canon Europe has launched into the golf laser rangefinder market with the introduction of PowerShot GOLF, a compact rangefinder that features a camera function.

The new product marks a first foray from Canon into the world of golf accessories, bringing together advanced range-finding capabilities with visual imaging technology for maximum benefit.

The pocket-sized PowerShot GOLF gives fast and accurate distance readings anywhere on the course while allowing golfers to document their round with its easy-to-use camera.

With crystal-clear optics, 6x optical and 12x digital magnification capabilities, and image stabilizer technology, golfers can visually assess the course in greater detail, focusing in on flags, greens, bunkers and other key hazards, helping them formulate their strategies to make better decisions about what club to use.

The unit also offers elevation-adjusted distances when using the optional Slope Mode, calculating ‘plays like’ distances which can be turned off for competition use.

PowerShot GOLF’s built-in camera enables golfers to capture pictures and videos of specific holes with superimposed distance information on the golf course. This feature allows users to create a personal course diary, complete with voice memos to record a breakdown of every shot. The camera is also ideal for documenting those unforgettable moments, to remember a breathtaking course, for educational purposes, to track progress, or even to share a winning swing on social media.

It also features a built-in rechargeable battery that can be topped up via a USB-C port with the supplied cable.

Priced at £329.99, the Canon PowerShot GOLF laser golf rangefinder can be pre-ordered by visiting www.canon.co.uk/golf-rangefinders/powershot-golf-rangefinder/
