Callaway updates X Forged UT Irons

Callaway has unveiled an update of its Forged X UT irons, which are designed to offer forgiveness and control at the upper end of the bag.

Offering confidence-inspiring head shapes and versatile performance, Callaway’s X Forged UT irons have become an essential piece of kit in many good player’s bags.

The new X Forged UTs, which are offered in 18, 21 and 24-degree lofts, replace the previous models launched in 2018. Made from forged mild carbon steel, they feature a hollow-body construction that combines with the brand’s unique urethane microspheres to offer high levels of feel.

Boasting a longer-than-standard blade width and a wider sole, they inspire confidence at address and provide a combination forgiveness and control.

An AI-designed Flash Face Cup delivers high ball speeds with robust spin, while external tungsten weighting precisely locates the centre of gravity for optimal trajectory and launch.

Shaft options include a Project X U steel shaft which is specifically designed to work with utility clubs for stability and control, or a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 80 graphite shaft, which is designed with low torque for strong ball strikers.

They are fitted with Golf Pride’s 50g Z Grip, which offers a firm feel and exceptional traction.

They have an RRP of £229 and go on sale October 29.
