UK heritage menswear brand Ben Sherman has announced its first foray into the golf apparel market and the signing of its first tour ambassador, PGA Tour player Denny McCarthy.

The brand’s first golf-focused apparel collection, infused with specialized performance materials such as quick-drying and moisture-wicking fabrics, along with thoughtful player-centric design elements, exemplifies a contemporary range of diverse styles.

Tim Reid, EVP of Fashion and Lifestyle at Marquee Brands, said: “As we enter the exciting landscape of sports apparel for Ben Sherman’s ‘Year of Sport’, our inaugural golf collection brings forward the Ben Sherman ethos – blending the classic style the brand is known for with high-performance attributes, catering to both professionals and the casual player.

“This marks a significant chapter in our brand’s journey, and aligning with a talent of Denny McCarthy’s calibre establishes our sincerity and commitment to creating quality performance menswear.”

McCarthy, currently ranked 43 in the OWGR, will wear key pieces from the new Ben Sherman golf range during the 2024 season as well as serving as a brand ambassador.

McCarthy said: “It’s an honor to partner with Ben Sherman, especially during this significant year for the brand, and to be the first to showcase the Ben Sherman Golf collection. Their commitment to crafting high-performance apparel aligns seamlessly with my approach to the game. I’m looking forward to what this season will bring.”
