Bailoy Products Launch Water-Saving Innovation

Irrigation control system specialist Bailoy Products has launched a new innovation that offers greenkeepers using the old SC1000/3000 or TW2 control systems a cost effective and easy way to upgrade and save water.

Named the GTI EC Lite, the new irrigation control system allows golf clubs to switch to the latest product without having to change decoders; the result of which sees greenkeepers able to immediately irrigate by the millimetre not the minute, and improve water efficiency dramatically through Bailoy’s flow-managed technology.

Robert Jackson, irrigation manager at sole UK distributors Lely UK, says: “Golf clubs need only swap out the control box, with old decoders or cabling being phased out later if needed.

“What’s more, the EC system provides a stand-alone controller with up to four control cables. This gives you the ability to run up to 114 stations per cable on the Trident version, or 109 stations on the Gemini.”

Ideal for golf clubs with restricted budgets, the GTI EC Lite is not only a low cost option for improved irrigation, but also works to save money in the long run too.

Robert explains: “The new product allows golf clubs to reduce water usage. Saving gallons of water, upgrading offers huge cost savings while also being good for the environment.

“It’s great for those that have been using very old technology for 20 or 30 years, which does a job, but for today’s energy and environmentally-friendly arena, is not accurate or efficient.”

Robert adds that the product is also very simple to use and program: “It offers better control and management; there’s no need to spend time adjusting programming.”
