Ashworth unveils AW23 apparel collection at PGA Show

On the heels of Ashworth Golf’s return to the US market and the recent signing of Fred Couples and Tom Hoge, Newtimes Group, a global leader of retail supply chain management, launched its AW23 line at last week’s PGA Show in Orlando.

First launched in 1987, Ashworth is once again invigorating a golf apparel market led by an innovative line-up of clothing engineered with proprietary fabrics that blend high-end natural yarns with advanced performance fibres. Developed with a deep understanding of the golfer’s movements, while tapping into the product development power of Newtimes Group’s global network, Ashworth Golf’s fall clothing line delivers style, full range of motion and all-day comfort

Headlining the Fall 2023 line, Ashworth is introducing several new polos and tees featuring next-generation innovation fabric including Soft-TechNatural Soft-TechPebble Tech, and Dry Release. Each model is designed to feel super soft and incorporate strong performance attributes, with an elevated style and appearance that is synonymous with the design expertise of Ashworth President Eddie Fadel, who is pushing the boundaries and driving innovation.

“Having the Newtimes Group engine behind us is our point of differentiation, and I feel like a kid in a candy store while tinkering with a mix of fabrics, fibres and yarns to create the new look Ashworth,” said Fadel. “As Ashworth re-emerges in the US market, we are all about making clothes that look better and feel better for golfers.”

Dry Release is designed to look and feel like complete cotton, while offering classic style with moisture wicking, UV protection, and four-way stretch for easy movement. The unique blend of poly, cotton and spandex offers the ultimate in easy care, wash and wear.

Soft-Tech material is a super high-performance poly product, integrating some spandex for stretch, while featuring a unique construction – the size and quality of the yarn, and the weave to create an extra soft hand. For Soft-Tech print polos, extra care is taken to maintain softness during the printing process, controlling the temperature and using higher quality dyes.

The Natural Soft-Tech collection is a blend of bamboo and cotton with a touch of spandex. Bamboo has very strong, natural performance attributes including wicking, UV protection, and anti-microbial qualities.

Pebble Tech is engineered for maximum breathability with the highest level of performance. By manipulating the knitting process, with special attention to yarn weight and twist, pebbled holes are produced for air-flow in the poly/spandex blend. The resulting subtle textured appearance gives the shirt a rich and elevated look while increasing breathability and comfort.

The Fall 2023 collection features several prints designed from a distinct Ashworth perspective centered on subtle and stylish, and created with discerning club members in mind, both on and off the golf course. Polos include updated icons from the Ashworth archives including the tipped collar/sleeve original, and a strong presentation of mid-layers, including a stand-out crewneck in performance fabric that blends in some Peruvian cotton for an elevated appearance, along with a selection of quarter-zips, and a fashionable, fun hoodie created for course play.

Ashworth ambassadors Fred Couples and Tom Hoge will be outfitted in Ashworth apparel when competing on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions, as well as other professional events around the world.

Ashworth Golf apparel is available at green grass shops nationwide in the US and via https://us.ashworthgolf.com.
