Amazfit has strengthened its position in the sports-wearable market with the launch of the Amazfit Balance 2, a multisport smartwatch designed to deliver advanced functionality for both fitness enthusiasts and golfers.
Combining sleek design, durability and intelligent tracking, the Balance 2 represents one of the most comprehensive and versatile devices the brand has produced to date, with up to 170 different activities and sports capable of being monitored and tracked, from skiing to scuba diving, running and hiking, climbing and strength training, and, new for this latest model, golf.

Activating the watch’s Golf Mode offers free access to maps of over 40,000 golf courses worldwide. Once downloaded from the Zepp App – which needs to be downloaded onto your smartphone and then synched via Bluetooth – the course maps provide accurate yardages to the front, centre and back of greens, as well as detailed distances to individual hazards. The user can also reposition the pin manually, ensuring precision in shot planning and club selection.

During play, scores and putts taken per hole are inputted manually, which are then translated into stats such as driving distance, fairways hit, greens in regulation and total putts. At the end of the round, data syncs instantly with the Zepp App, which presents a full performance summary and a map of the player’s route across the course.
The health tracking elements of the watch also enable golfers to monitor the health benefits of their golfing activities, with stats collated on calories burned, steps taken and the changes in your heart rate as you traverse the course all collated.
Weighing only 42 grams, the Balance 2 feels unobtrusive during the swing and offers excellent comfort for long rounds. The AMOLED display remains clear in direct sunlight, while the sapphire-glass screen resists scratches and maintains its premium appearance even after repeated outdoor use. Notably, the touchscreen can still be used when wearing a golf glove – a small but significant detail that enhances usability on the course.

A suite of six precision sensors – including an accelerometer, gyroscope and barometer – measure motion with accuracy, offering insights such as swing tempo that can benefit a golfer’s training routine as well as general fitness goals.
Health monitoring is equally detailed. The Balance 2 records heart-rate variability (HRV), stress, fatigue, VO₂ Max, training load, recovery time and sleep analysis, giving users a rounded understanding of their physical condition. Battery performance is another standout feature, offering up to 21 days of standard use or 39 hours with continuous GPS, meaning the watch can comfortably last multiple rounds or training sessions on a single charge.

The Balance 2 is sold with two interchangeable sport straps in black and red, each designed for comfort and breathability. Its customisable watch faces range from minimalist time-only displays to layouts showing comprehensive environmental and fitness data, including step count, calories burned, UV index, temperature and local weather.
The Balance 2 is powered by the Zepp App, allowing data synchronisation and expansion through integration with third-party fitness platforms such as Strava, Apple Health, Google Fit, Komoot, adidas Running, TrainingPeaksand Relive. This ensures that athletes can consolidate their performance data in one place. The addition of Zepp Pay enables secure contactless payments via Curve and participating Mastercard banks, offering convenience on and off the course.
