All19holes launches polo made from recycled plastic

American golf and lifestyle apparel brand All 19 Holes has unveiled a new polo shirt that is made entirely from recycled polyester.

Made in the USA, and up-cycled from 8-12 plastic bottles retrieved from the ocean, a lake or landfill, the ECO-Polo helps remove a small, but important portion of the plastic pollution from the environment, while also performing all the functions of a high quality polo shirt.

The ECO-Polo’s recycled performance polyester fabric provides wicking, odour control and is water resistant. The flat-back honeycomb mesh features MaxDri moisture management and Micoblok, an anti-microbial finish.

“We are excited for people to wear our ECO-Polo,” said Tim Ready, the founder and president of All 19 Holes, which is based in Los Angeles, California. “The first time I experienced the feel of our recycled performance fabric, I knew it would be a game changer. What’s better than helping do something good for the planet and to wear a stylish shirt that feels like a mercerized cotton but with exceptional performance?”

“Another key consideration when designing the ECO-Polo is that it must look good in any social setting, so we gave it a proper collar that looks perfect under a sport coat,” added Ready, who recommends that the garment is washed on a cold cycle and ironed on low heat.

The ECO-Polo is available in S-XXL sizes in both black and white with a variety of contrasting plackets and colours. It costs $89 and can be purchased online at www.all19holes.com.
