Aldila has recently released its latest addition to the popular RIP series, the RIP Beta, a mid-launch version of the original low-launch, stiff-tipped RIP Alpha that has been tested and used extensively by professionals on both the PGA and European Tours.
Like its predecessor, it’s also made with Aldila’s patent-pending RIP Technology™ (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) which features lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.
The RIP Technology, assisted by computer modelling and provided by the Aldila Materials Division, has enabled engineers to completely rethink golf shaft design and performance.
The white RIP Beta, which will be a little easier to handle for the average player, allows for a longer, straighter and higher launching ball flight. The design is turned inside out to maximize the high performance carbon fibre properties to lower torque and increase hoop stiffness for greater accuracy and shot control, and is available in both Stiff and X Stiff flex.
This completely unique innovation, using Aldila’s exclusive materials, has literally transformed shaft technology from the inside out. The result is a revolutionary shaft design with optimum flex and torque characteristics with incredible feel for maximum shot control.
The RIP series consists of three shafts, with the Beta version incorporating a softer tip flex for a mid-launch, compared to the Alpha’s low-launch and the Gamma’s higher-balance point.
