Adidas has unveiled its first ever golf shoe to feature two Boa lacing dials.

Although boasting many of the same performance attributes and design elements found in the original Tour360 XT shoe, including the X-Torsion outsole, the XT Twin Boa offers two different dials for adjusting fit in different areas of the shoe.

The main dial adjusts the tightness of the forefoot, as is traditional in BOA shoes, but the smaller dial adjusts how the shoe fits around the ankle, something completely unique to the golf shoe market. The two dials not only allow wearers to fine-tune fit and comfort, but enable the shoe to cater for a wider range of foot widths.

Both dials adjust the fit with precision – 1mm of adjustment per click of the dial – and allows for quick release.

Another of the shoe’s key features is the implementation of the Forged 360 Wrap, which wraps from the back of the forefoot to the upper, and the Boa lace, which is stronger than in previous models. These two combine to prevent the upper of the shoe from expanding during the swing, leading to greater stability.
