Italian golf footwear brand Royal Albartross is kicking off golf’s major championship season with the launch of a Masters-inspired shoe.
Called ‘The Driver 63’, in honour of the lowest ever single-round score at Augusta National, which shared by Nick Price in 1986 and Greg Norman in 1996, the shoes are handmade in Portugal and are made with a dark-green Italian leather and suede uppers, with yellow and gold accents. It features a breathable leather lining and a lightweight Apex sole.
“Excellence has a number – and it’s 63,” said Alex Bartholomew, CEO and Head Designer of Royal Albartross. “We’ve created this casual-meets-classic, special edition Driver 63 golf shoe to celebrate the course record at what is, to many, the most iconic major in the golfing world.”
Pre-sale for the limited edition Driver 63 shoes starts on March 6 on the Royal Albartross website, www.royalalbartross.com. The retail price is $249, with just 200 pairs due to go on sale.
