IPC Country & Leisure Media has reached a provisional agreement – subject to final contract – to sell Women & Golf to Total Golf Club Ltd. Discussions regarding the sale continue, and both sides hope that the sale will be brought to an early conclusion. No IPC staff will be affected by the proposed sale of the title. Women & Golf is the best-selling magazine for female golfers.

The new owners aim to build on the reputation that Women & Golf has earned in recent years and, through high quality editorial content, make it a ‘must-read’ magazine for women golfers everywhere.

The magazine is a significant acquisition for Total Golf Club Ltd, a specialist in membership websites. The company is soon to present a dynamic new community website for female golfers, offering a one-stop shop on all things golf, with an emphasis on tailored member benefits. Women & Golf is seen as being a natural and vital partner in this venture.

Jane Carter, former editor of Golf Monthly and founder of Women & Golf in 1992, is publisher/editor of the magazine, while golf journalist Ben Evans will be the managing editor of the title.

The first edition of Women & Golf from Total Golf Club Ltd will be the May issue, published 9th April.
