The TGI Golf Partnership, Europe’s leading golf retail services group owned by PGA Professionals, has launched a new interactive blog offering valuable insight and opinion on the golf industry.
tgigolfblog.com will feature regular posts from figures across the group as well as guest blogs from influential members of the golf industry.
The launch of tgigolfblog.com is part of a wider expansion of the group’s social media channels following consultation with one of the country’s leading social media consultants Dr Jim Hamill, a Business Fellow at the University of Strathclyde and Director of Energise 2.0, a leading Social Business Strategy company. He is widely acknowledged internationally as a leading expert on Social Media/Social Business having delivered executive workshops in numerous countries around the world.
“Social Media is playing a more vital role in day-to-day life, with many of our Partners now utilising the likes of Facebook and Twitter to benefit their businesses,” said Eddie Reid, TGI Golf Managing Director.
“These channels give us the platform to reach all our stakeholders and discuss a whole range of interesting subjects, written by influential figures from within the group and wider golf industry.
“Social Media is an important tool in two-way communication and we are looking to interact with the entire industry at every level, not shout about ourselves – we want to engage, enlighten and educate.”
Dr Hamill will be one of a number of leading businessmen, including Callaway Senior Vice President of R&D Dr Alan Hocknell, taking the stage at the TGI Golf Business Conference, staged at the MarriottWorsleyPark, Manchester on 4-5 February, 2014. He will be talking to TGI Golf Partners about Social Media and how they can utilise it to benefit their businesses.
The Business Conference is a two-day event, free to attend for all TGI Golf Partners who will also receive 50 CPD Points.
