Prime Video, the streaming production arm of Amazon, is to premiere at new feature-length documentary charting Rory McIlroy’s 17-year relationship with the Masters Tournament that culminated in his long-awaited victory – and career major grand slam – at Augusta last year.
Rory McIlroy: The Masters Wait, will launch exclusively on Prime Video on March 30 and be available to watch in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Directed and executive produced by Drea Cooper, Rory McIlroy: The Masters Wait is an Everyone Else production and has been made in association with McIlroy’s Firethorn Productions, which the five-time major champion set up last year.
The production studio will create documentary and long-form storytelling, brand campaigns, live fan experiences and events, and digital activations across other Versant platforms, including GolfPass and Golf Channel, and it will be managed by both McIlroy’s team and Versant leadership.
