Open ‘micro site’ from

8.00am 20th July 2006 - Media has unveiled a brand new micro-site to bring fans news, views and results from this year’s Open Championship, live as they happen.
The site is the latest in a series of popular specialised sites from TEAMtalk Media Group, the owner of, including the spectacularly successful, which attracted more than 13 million page impressions in June alone.
“The Open Championship is the biggest event in the golfing calendar and regular users of made it clear that they wanted even more in-depth coverage than usual,” says Dave Tindall, site editor, “The site will be a mix of our usual high quality coverage and new features such as a daily blog, which I’ll be writing from the course.”
The decision to put the site together followed the popularity of the US Open micro-site, which proved a big hit with users of and its sister site,
