The Golfing Union of Ireland’s official magazine, “GOLFING”, is now available. The magazine, published by Walton Media, is a bumper 96 pages, packed with news, reviews, previews, pro-tips, sport psychology, the history of the game and much more.
In the first issue the magazine puts the spotlight on the Irish Amateur Open Championship, which will be played at Royal Dublin Golf Club on 10th – 12th May, plus a review of the West of Ireland Championship at Co Sligo Golf Club and a round-up of news and views from the Provinces.
The superb performance of Padraig Harrington is highlighted in an article on the Irish at the US Masters plus a profile on Darren Clarke and full details on the recent announcement of the Darren Clarke Foundation. There are also articles examining the latest new golf equipment, and a sports turf section, while also included in the magazine will be a section on ladies golf, provided by the ILGU.
The magazine is compiled by some of the country’s top golf correspondents, including Philip Reid, Dermot Gilleece, Charlie Mulqueen, Colm Smith and Shane O’Donoghue, and has one of the largest distributions of any golf magazine in Ireland.
