Mizuno bags eight golds on Golf Digest’s 2021 Hot List

Mizuno has picked up eight gold awards in Golf Digest’s 2021 Hot List, including five in the various iron categories, a third straight gold in the drivers category and top awards for both hybrids and wedges.

Mizuno has a strong history of picking up golds in the iron categories of Golf Digest’s annual Hot List awards, and with five golds across the various irons categories this year, that record continues.

In addition to irons success, the ST-Z and ST-X drivers also won gold, marking the third straight generation of Mizuno drivers to be awarded the highest accolade in the Hot List.

“We are delighted to have received this level of recognition across the categories,” said Chris Voshall, Mizuno’s chief golf club designer. “We have always performed well in the iron categories, but to receive three further golds in drivers, hybrids and wedges really demonstrates the impact we continue to make, producing the very best equipment through the bag. The Hot List has long been the go-to test in the industry and it’s very important for us to have performed so well in the 2021 edition.”

Mizuno’s Hot List gold iron haul was spread across the ‘game improvement’, ‘players’ irons’ and ‘players’ distance irons’ categories, with all four models in the JPX921 range receiving the top award – Hot Metal, Tour, Forged and Hot Metal Pro. The MP-20 MMC irons were also awarded gold in the ‘players’ irons’ category and were one of the few irons to receive a full five stars for ‘Looks-Sound-Feel.’

Also picking up golds were the company’s CLK hybrid and the T20 wedges.
