Brands represented by specialist PR & marketing agency Sports Impact have accounted for an impressive total of 25 awards in the ‘Best Gear of 2019’ bestowed by the UK’s top-selling golf magazines.
All nine agency clients that provide golf hardware, software and apparel featured in a 36-page supplement published by Golf Monthly to acknowledge the best golf gear on the market this year. Each was recognised for producing at least one outstanding product and two scooped three awards.
Sports Impact clients were acclaimed by Golf Monthly for introducing 16 game-changing products that the agency has helped to promote to both trade and consumer audiences during the past year.
Premium brand HONMA, the club choice of current FedEx Cup and Olympic champion Justin Rose, secured three Editor’s Choice awards for the first time. They were the T//World 747 driver used by Rose with a handmade Vizard shaft, plus the Japanese brand’s latest Vx and P model irons.
Innovative trolley brand Motocaddy was also credited with three exceptional lines – the M5 CONNECT compact powered GPS trolley, the CUBE CONNECT push model and the versatile AquaFLEX bag.
Galvin Green, the leading technical clothing brand, received plaudits for its streamlined ShakeDry™ waterproof jacket and Lincoln Interface top.
Market-leading stand bag brand Sun Mountain gained two awards in the form of its flagship H2NO Lite stand bag and the Meridian Club Glider travel bag.
Other Sports Impact clients included in the latest Editor’s Choices were Wilson Staff (D7 driver and irons); Duca del Cosma (Heritage soft spike shoes); Foresight Sports (GCQuad launch monitor); Arccos Link (shot tracking & analysis device); and KBS (CT Putter shaft).
Explaining the criteria for selection, Golf Monthly editor Michael Harris said: “We were first and foremost looking for creativity – products that overcame challenges in a unique way and made us take a step back and think ‘what a great idea’…the items featured move the needle in their respective categories.”
