Fine Golf Books, owned by Peter Grunwell and based in St Andrews, have signed an exclusive deal with Roger McStravick (pictured above) to be the sole agent for his books. The book deal will see Peter selling the books, which includes his brand new book St Andrews – The Road War Papers, the limited edition of USGA Herbert Warren Wind Book Award winning St Andrews in the Footsteps of Old Tom Morris, A History of Golf and the children’s book, Little Tommy Morris, to collectors, bookshops, golf clubs and hotels.

Speaking today Peter said, ‘I am delighted to do this deal with Roger. He is one of the most exciting and authoritative golf historians today. His books always sell well and are a perfect fit into my strategy of offering fine high quality new and antiquarian books.’

Roger said, ‘This is a dream scenario for me. To have someone with the reputation that Peter and Fine Golf Books have in the industry, selling the books is fantastic. I can concentrate fully on my research and my role as editor of the BGCS magazine Through The Green.’

Roger’s new book, St Andrews – The Road War Papers, tells the story of the controversial 1879 links case that went all the way to the House of Lords. In court, the greats of the day including Open Champions Tom Morris and Jamie Anderson were cross-examined and revealed much about their lives and St Andrews Links. The leather editions sold out quickly and now Fine Golf Books have the entire stock of the 1879 edition.

‘This is a wonderful book and so beautifully set out by designer Chic Harper. The reviews have been glowing and I look forward to giving people something fascinating to read over Christmas,’ said Peter.

Established since 2004, Fine Golf Books have supplied books, autographs and ephemera to discerning collectors and leading museums worldwide.
