LIV Golf unveils broadcast partners, commentary team and live music acts for Centurion event

12.40pm 6th June 2022 - Media

The inaugural event on the LIV Golf Invitational Series, which takes place at Centurion Club in Hertfordshire from June 9-11, is to be broadcast on YouTube, Facebook and LIV Golf’s own website, LIVGolf.com.

Action from the three-day tournament will also be aired live on a variety of paid-for and free-to-air broadcasters providing coverage in 138 countries around the world.

LIV Golf’s shotgun start will feature the 12-team, 48-player field teeing off all at once, with more than 50 cameras on site to capture every moment from start to finish. The broadcast will present views from 16 different towers, drones, and mobile steady cameras, with tracer technology highlighting the action throughout the course. More than 60 microphones will pick up the sound from tee to green on every hole, while players and caddie will also be wearing microphones to introduce a new angle to tournament coverage.

Dom Boulet is a regular commentator on the Asian Tour

Former BBC Radio 5 Live football commentator Arlo White has been named as the lead commentator for the tournament’s coverage, despite having no previous experience of covering golf. He will be working alongside experienced US golf commentator Jerry Foltz, who previously worked as an on-course reporter for the Golf Channel covering the LPGA Tour. Dom Boulet, a former player on the Asian Tour, will complete the commentary booth line-up, while on-course commentary team will include Su-Ann Heng, a experienced golf analyst with FOX Sports Asia, and Troy Mullins, a former Women’s Long Drive record holder and a regular contributor to the Golf Channel.

Will Staeger, LIV Golf’s Chief Media Officer, said: “The LIV Golf broadcast will be unlike anything fans have seen before. The innovations we are introducing to the sport will be distributed to existing and new audiences all over the world as we deliver golf coverage dedicated to entertainment and access. We’ve built a world-class production team that has combined the industry’s best practices with a reimagined experience for viewers to create a one-of-a-kind broadcast. We’ve been counting down the days to Thursday’s start so fans can tune in and watch what we have been working on.”

As well as numerous activities lined up to run alongside the golfing action in the Fan Village, there is also a range after-golf entertainment for fans, including a series of free concerts and DJ sets which are included in the cost of a grounds pass. The line ups are as follows:
