Sam Torrance officially opened the GolfPunk Caddyshack on Wednesday night in Troon, on the eve of the 145th Open Championship.

The GolfPunk Caddyshack is based at Troon Concert Hall, which is a 600 people capacity venue located in the heart of Troon, and on the major route into the Open venue itself.

The GolfPunk Caddyshack is sponsored by the Californian golf fashion brand Travis Mathew, which is launching into the UK and European market for the first time. Their new website – www.travismathew.eu – has also gone live for the first time this week.

According to GolfPunk Media C.E.O. Tim Southwell: “We think we have created a great experience which golfers can enjoy when they’re not on the course itself. Our partners Fou and Happy are experts in creating amazing pop-up environments, and they’re providing great food and drink across the whole of Open week.

Southwell added: “We’ve also got a great Golfzon simulator where visitors can take on our new Golf Nurse Rachael McQueen, who is looking to qualify for the Ladies European Tour. We are putting on live music every evening, or golfers can come in and watch the golf on our massive screen if the weather gets a bit feisty. We think the event will give golfers a great flavour of what the Golfpunkhq.com brand is all about, and build massive awareness of both brands amongst the die-hard golfing community.”

Golfpunkhq.com have partnered with the US fantasy sports giant DraftKings for an exclusive promotion.
