This week marks the 21st anniversary of the launch of GolfNews – the UK’s oldest and best-read free monthly golf quality newspaper.
Started in 1994 by publisher Matt Nicholson, GolfNews continues to celebrate the best of golf in the South of England, as well as reporting on golf events around the world.
Edited by experienced golf journalist Nick Bayly, GolfNews continues to bring an unrivalled mix of club news, course reviews, exclusive player interviews, equipment reviews, travel features and competitions that has proved such a hit with club golfers for over two decades.
Going into over 500 golf facilities and driving ranges, Golf News is certainly reaching a wider audience than ever before, and with a digital issue available to read online, a constantly-updated website, and a Twitter feed followed by over 36,000 golfers, the title is providing a user-friendly multimedia platform for golfers – and the wider golf industry – to keep in touch with golfing news.
This year has seen a continuation of the rolling out of eye-catching new magazine racks and counter-top displays at more venues across the UK, reaching more golfers and making GolfNews, with its unique, full-colour A3 format, even more unmissable.
As well as a preview of the 144th Open Championship at St Andrews, and a look back at all of the action from the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, the June issue – which will be the 245th – will be packed with an entertaining mix of news, interviews and reviews, as well as top instruction from European Tour star Tom Lewis; insights from tour professional Matt Ford; and Sky Sports presenter Sarah Stirk’s entertaining travel column.
With season tickets to the European Tour’s Senior Masters at Woburn up for grabs, and loads of other great prizes and experiences to be won, GolfNews continues to show why it remains the leader in the clubhouse.
