Consumer golf website GolfMagic has appointed Christian Maiden as its new commercial director.
Maiden joins the Crash Media Group-owned brand from Sports Publications’ National Club Golfer, where he has worked since 2015, first as as a senior digital account manager, then advertising director, and most recently as general manager, where, since 2022, he assumed day-to-day responsibilities for the business, looking after all the commercial departments, publishing responsibilities and growth of the NCG brand as a whole.
Maiden also boasts a wealth of commercial and marketing experience, not only within the golf industry, but also working previously at FTSE100-listed companies across both the FMCG and property sectors.
Willliam Miller, managing director at Crash Media Group, said: “Christian is precisely the right man at the right time for GolfMagic. His track record in the golf industry speaks for itself and I for one am extremely excited to see what can be acheived with the brand moving into 2023. We have already spoken to a number of brands about what we are doing in the coming months and we have recieved some very good feedback. Now we’ve just got to get on with it.”
Discussing his appointment, Maiden said: “I’m extremely excited to take up this new position as Commercial Director at Golf Magic, after speaking with Will (Miller) and the team at length, it is clear that this is an exciting project to be a part of. From what Will has shown me in terms of the scale of the website, I feel my appointment is coming at an extremely important time and I’m really looking forward to help shape the direction of the business with the team.
He added: “There will be a lot of new content, creative ideas and sponsorship opportunities in 2023, that I’m very much looking forward to presenting and also showcasing the vision of GolfMagic to our current and future brand partners.”
