The first issue of Golfin Mag hit the shelves at the start of August and after weeks of views and reviews the ‘magazine like no other’ has been a great success, not least because it provides a raw untouched, creative side of golf that is very rarely seen in other golf magazines.
Executive Director Stephen Nicholson tells of how this all came about. “I was online, hooked up and connected to a global community, following the latest trends and crazes, the newest fashions and the modern technology emerging in the sport.
“But I would get so annoyed at the lack of creativity involved around showcasing this modern image in the golfing world, all the golfing magazines I could find were just so monotonous, and I regularly vented steam about them at the 19th.
“I wanted somewhere to share all of this. Somewhere we could get lost in our imaginations and bring to life some crazy dreams and not worry about where they could lead.
“I needed something beyond the traditional clubhouse. I craved something different, something new.
“When I met Zayne and tried to entice him into playing golf, his thoughts opened up my own, and together we realised how different, how entertaining and how creative golf really could be. There is a whole new side of things to investigate, one which has never been shared with the world before.
“We’re giving golf a ‘kick up the ass’, making it more popular, more entertaining and more appealing to everyone.
“We want to help invest in the youth of today, to revolutionise the sport and improve the game through grass roots movements, it’s what we believe in and we want you to believe it too.”
Golfin Mag can be downloaded free of charge on any internet enabled device, and with billions of iPhones, iPads, smartphones, tablets, e-books and computers located around the world.
“We can tap into the massive global golf following and provide an unrivalled social media experience. Through Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, our interactive features, photo-shoots, videos and quirky articles will engage readers in an unparalleled way, attracting subscribers in markets from multiple countries,” says Stephen.
“For those times when technology is not available, and for nostalgic reasons too we offer subscribers the option to pre-order a physical copy of each issue should they prefer. In short, Golfin Mag is set to uncover a hidden side of golf, more fun and creative than you could have possibly imagined. and a YouTube video will tell you more about Golfin, the magazine taking you inside golf!”
