Golf Today relaunches website

Golf Today, one of the original independent online golf publishers established in 1996, has announced the launch of its newly revamped website.

With a comprehensive redesign aimed at improving user experience and site performance, the updated website offers a fresh, sleek look while maintaining the classic branding that readers have come to know and trust.

Under the guidance of editor Jack Lumb and in collaboration with website developer Ben Brett, the new Golf Today site has undergone three months of intensive development.

The result is a more streamlined and visually appealing platform that offers a wide range of features, providing an enhanced browsing experience for golf enthusiasts.

“We want to provide the best possible experience for our readership, which includes making our articles easily accessible to all users without extra effort,” said Lumb. “The redesign is not only practical but it looks fantastic too. Ben has done a great job utilising the space on the homepage, and the small but detailed tweaks to the font and colours give it a revitalised appearance.”

The homepage now features a cleaner, more organised design with improved category layouts. With a 100% increase in homepage content, users can access a wider selection of articles instantly.

As part of the relaunch, the site also underwent extensive backend development to boost performance, loading times, and responsiveness.

“Even a slight delay in loading an article can be off-putting to some, so it’s essential for Golf Today to operate at peak performance, providing a smooth and efficient browsing experience,” said Lumb.

In alignment with the redesign, Golf Today will be introducing a brand-new European Course Database in the coming months, featuring GPS mapping and user-friendly search filters. This tool allows users to find golf courses by location, amenities, and more. Future developments will include course reviews, ratings, and options for users to share their own experiences.

Going forward, the sign-up feature will see the addition of a Golf Today newsletter, offering subscribers tournament roundups, the latest news, and featured articles across all categories.

“Our goal has always been to serve the golfing community with trusted and reliable news, and the new website is a crucial step in achieving that,” Lumb continued. “We’ve covered a lot of areas to deliver the best possible experience for our readership, and we can’t wait to welcome new users to the site.”

The redesigned Golf Today website is live and ready to welcome both longtime readers and new visitors. With an emphasis on improved usability, performance, and content curation, Golf Today continues its mission to be a leading source of golf news and insights for nearly three decades.
