‘Golf News’ is the UK’s most widely-read free golf publication, and is being read by more UK golfers than ever before, following a significant increase in its distribution channels over the last 12 months.

While newsstand golf magazines continue to report declines in sales, and reduction in readership figures, Golf News continues to go from strength to strength, with more golfers reading the monthly news-based publication in both its printed and online version that ever before.

Golf News’ online readership has grown 20% year-on-year, with the accessible and user-friendly digital magazine proving a hit with golfers and industry professionals alike, and helping Golf News to reach a wider and more targeted audience than ever before. Golf News’ Twitter account, @golfnewsmag, has also developed a large following since being launched in 2010, with over 15,000 people currently following the feed.

The printed version continues to be the most popular read in golf clubs in the South East, with over 42,000 copies being distributed to venues all over the region on a monthly basis. This upward trend looks set to continue in 2013/14, with the next stage of the magazine quality stand and counter top roll-out programme, which will see Golf News displayed more prominently in even more clubhouses, pro shops, golf resorts and hotels throughout the UK.

With its distinctive, full-colour A3 format, Golf News stands out from the crowd, and brings golf to life like no other magazine. Packed with news, views, comment and reviews, it’s a lively, entertaining and informative read – and what’s more, it costs absolutely nothing to buy!

With all the latest developments about golf clubs in the area, interviews with the stars on Tour and the rising amateur talents, Golf News is also features all the latest equipment launches, instruction, golf holiday ideas and celebrity interviews. It also features a quartet of must-read columnists, including home-grown European Tour stars Tom Lewis and Eddie Pepperell, Sky Sports’ commentator Ewen Murray, and a brand new travel column from Ewen’s Sky Sports Golf colleague, Sarah Stirk.

Published by Blue Green Media, GolfNews was set up by publisher Matthew Nicholson in 1994, and is edited by experienced golf journalist Nick Bayly, who has been with the title since 2002, and together with some of the game’s most brilliant golf writers continues to ensure that Golf News provides topical news and exclusive interviews and features that are relevant and interesting to all golfers.
