Popular consumer golf magazine Golf News has teamed up with Golf Deals Group’s brand new 2-for-1 green fee website, www.golf2for1.co.uk to offer golfers a range of great value deals for the new golf season.
Golf News, which previously operated its own Greensaver scheme, will promote the new site through its monthly print magazine and via its digital and social media channels. All the golf clubs that featured in the original Greensaver scheme will now be added to the new site, and will benefit from the even wider exposure that the new site will offer.
“Since its launch four years ago, Golf Deals Group has firmly established itself as one of the most useful golfing websites in the UK. It offers great exposure for courses and the addition of Golf2for1.co.uk to its portfolio is a great free marketing tool for clubs to use,” said Golf Deals Group Managing Director Stephen Cooper.
Golf News is one of the best-read consumer golf titles in the UK, and boasts a large and loyal following of readers, especially across the South East.
The partnership, which was negotiated between Stephen Cooper and Golf News Managing Director Matt Nicholson, will provide a cost effective way for golf clubs and courses across the UK to showcase their facilities, while also creating more visitors and extra revenue streams.
Commenting on the deal, Stephen Cooper said: “I feel that the exposure that Golf News can give to Golf2for1.co.uk is invaluable to the business. By merging the older-style Greensaver booklet into our new site will give golf clubs the best of both worlds in terms of exposure. It was easy for Matt and I to agree on how we can work together. We have similar views on how we see the future of the golf industry developing over the next few years and working with the team at Golf News will provide us with a great platform on which to grow awareness of our brand.”
Matt Nicholson added: “After discussing various options with Steve and his team at Golf Group Deals, it quickly became very apparent that our two brands complimented each other perfectly, and we are very proud to be entering into this merger with the new Golf2for1.co.uk website. As technology moves forward, we feel that this is the best way to get more golfers visiting courses across the UK. We also believe it will provide golf clubs a great opportunity to showcase their courses to over 300,000 UK golfers. We are really looking forward to working with Steve and his team to create and grow this great new website.”
