Golf Monthly, the UK’s leading multi-platform golf media brand, has launched a free digital monthly magazine, What’s In the Bag, that will keep gear enthusiasts up-to-date on all the latest equipment releases and gear related news from the Tours.
What’s In the Bag is dedicated to delivering in-depth content on equipment and apparel, and is brought to readers by the expert team behind Golf Monthly’s existing gear editorial. Content will focus on the latest product launches and the technology behind them, along with information and insight from the pro game. Readers will also benefit from the use of video in this new monthly, with product reviews offering audiences the opportunity to watch the products being tested and behind-the-scenes footage at key events allows readers to get even closer to the world of golf equipment.
The design has been led by mobile to achieve a user-friendly experience, allowing the reader to easily enjoy the bite size content while on the go. What’s In the Bag is optimised for smartphones and is available on any OS device. The content can be accessed via a URL and optimises whether the reader is looking on mobile desktop or tablet.
Paul O’Hagan, launch editor of What’s In the Bag, says: “Our readers are serious about their sport and there is an overwhelming interest in content around the latest equipment. This new monthly magazine extends beyond the product pages of Golf Monthly to cater for those golfers who want even more of this content and to delve deeper into the technology behind the products.”
Golf Monthly editor and What’s In the Bag publisher, Mike Harris, adds: “Research has flagged up how much our audience loves our existing print and digital product content and so we are giving them more of what they want through a dedicated digital magazine featuring our market leading video. This is an exciting new venture for the brand.”
