According to the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), the international golf tourism market is worth in the region of £8 billion per year. ‘Golf & Travel’ – a new bi-monthly magazine that targets this market – is to be launched in July 2003.

IAGTO research also shows that British golfers take more than 650,000 golfing holidays each year, worth £250 million annually, and that more than half of all regular golfers have taken a golfing holiday. The golf tourism market is expanding two to three times faster than general leisure tourism.
