The Golf Live Exhibition hub in 2011

The winner of GBD’s ‘Best Innovation Product’ competition will receive a free exhibition stand for all three days of Golf Live 2012, held at the London Golf Club, 18-20 May.

As two major industry exhibitions take place this week, Golf Business Development (GBD) will be reporting on the best innovation on show in the next issue of the magazine that reaches 3,000 plus leading decision makers and buyers in golf.

The PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, and the BTME Harrogate Week inYorkshire, are certainly two of the golf places to be this week, with both events having a major impact on the industry in the year ahead.

At the PGA Show, organisers have been encouraging exhibitors to put forward their new items for the “must-see” ‘New Product Zones’, while at BTME those companies best-placed to serve greenkeepers and course managers will also be unveiling their leading innovations for 2012.

GBD magazine will bring you the new product highlights from both of these influential  industry events in its February/March 2012 issue.

The leading journal on all things golf industry is read in hard-copy by more than 3,000 decision-makers, including PGA professionals, retail buyers, greenkeepers and course managers, club managers and owners.

Also on the innovation theme, GBD has extended slightly its deadline for entrants for its ‘Best Innovation Product’ competition. Editor Ben Evans was asked by companies to wait until the end of the two major golf events before closing the entry book – and therefore newly-unveiled products can be put forward to win a fantastic prize; courtesy of the prestigious public golf show, Golf Live.

Issue 13 of GBD magazine presented an exclusive report on preparations for Golf Live 2012 (held at the London Golf Club, 18-20 May), the highly popular public outdoor golf event that welcomes golf lovers to meet favourite tour players and sample favourite golf products and services.

Through GBD’s pages, Golf Live will reward a company which can demonstrate imagination, foresight and technical brilliance within a new product/service for golfers. In return for the best product idea from the most fertile brain, Golf Live will make available a 3 metre x 3 metre stand (worth £2,745 + VAT) in the exhibition area of Golf Live for all three days of the event (18-20 May).

The extended deadline for this competition is 3rd February 2012.

Any golf company can enter GBD’s ‘Best Innovation Product’ competition. Any product/service can be entered as long as the first unit/sale was completed/sold no earlier than 1 April, 2011.

To enter, simply put down in no more than 400 words (a) why the product is innovative, (b) why a presence at Golf Live will help your company and (c) why it will excite visitors at Golf Live. Send your words and supporting pictures to the editor at benevansgolf@yahoo.co.uk

Please enter by 3rd February, 2012, and following these entries we will contact a short list to view actual products more closely before reaching a decision.
