Direct Golf UK is celebrating the success of their in-house TV channel, Direct Golf TV, designed to help golfers choose the right equipment and improve their game.

With over 1 million views since its launch in late 2011 and over 400 videos already online – Direct Golf TV has been designed to help golfers with their buying decisions and has become an intrinsic part of Direct Golf UK’s online success, helping bolster the Company’s position as the leading multi-channel golf retailer in Europe.

John Andrew, Class AA PGA Professional and Chairman, said: “We have invested significantly in Direct Golf TV and we are already seeing the benefit. Not just in terms of traffic to the site, but also feedback from customers and sales as a result.”

The UK based Golf retailer recently took a six-man team of professionals, including the production crew from Direct Golf TV, on a 8,000 mile round-trip to the 60th PGA Merchandise show in Orlando, Florida to the largest golf show in the world. “While we have been coming to Orlando for the PGA show for over 19 years, this was the first year we invested in bringing our in-house film crew to produce videos on all the latest equipment. We wanted to be the first to provide UK golfers with impartial reviews and insight from some of the key members of staff, from all the key brands to aid their buying decisions,” added Andrew.

Working closely with the leading golf brands, the DGTV cameras were able to gain exclusive first reviews and video footage from leading brands such as Taylormade, Nike, Cobra, Adams Golf, adidas, Callaway, Bridgestone, Garmin, Golf Buddy, Sky Caddie and many more.

During the course of trip, Direct Golf TV secured enough footage for over 40 new videos to be added to the 400 already online and included exclusive interviews with golf industry legends such as Bob Vokey and Scotty Cameron.

The innovative platform provides golfers with informative, impartial video reviews for all the latest golfing equipment, as well as videos on golf tips and drills plus special offers exclusive to Direct Golf UK.

“There is so much great golf equipment on the market today and so much choice; it can be a little confusing for customers with all the advances and changes in technology. With Direct Golf TV, our aim is to simplify things with impartial reviews on all the latest products and help our customers buy with confidence,” said Andrew.

Direct Golf TV has already received lots of plaudits, not least from the golf industry. Tony Dabbs, from Nike Golf, said: “My experience working with the DGUK team was very professional and I felt the guys did the most thorough job of any of the 20-30 media outlets that I personally worked with during the PGA Merchandise show.”

Meanwhile the likes of Today’s Golfer Editor, Chris Jones, has also had firsthand experience of working with the DGTV after being put through his paces with Direct Golf’s unique Golf MOT service. Chris Said: “DGTV is a great tool for golfers to help them find the right kit. Direct Golf should be applauded for going the extra mile.”
