Alison Root appointed Editor of ‘Women & Golf’

Gemini Network Media has appointed Alison Root as Editor of its magazine ‘Women & Golf’ – Jane Carter remains Editor-in-Chief but will spend more time concentrating on other projects.

Gemini Network Media, one of the UK’s leading golf marketing companies, has appointed Alison Root as Editor of its magazine ‘Women & Golf’.

‘Women & Golf’was established in 1991 and Alison has worked on the title for almost three years as Deputy Editor and now takes over from Jane Carter, Managing Director of Gemini Network Media. Jane will remain as Editor-in-Chief but will spend more time concentrating on other projects within the company’s portfolio.

Jane said: “Alison is the ideal person for this role and will no doubt add a new dimension to the title while continuing to interact with readers and produce a magazine with a variety of content to help women golfers get the most out of their game.”

Alison has a wealth of experience in the golf industry, having previously edited Business Golfer magazine and working with The Times newspaper co-managing its corporate golf events and producing the associated in-paper golf supplements.

Alison added: “I am delighted to take over the helm of ‘Women & Golf’and look forward to further strengthening the title and continuing to provide our readers with a first class publication.”
