Río Real Golf & Hotel has recently created two new departments to optimise income management at the golf resort located near Marbella on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
One department is for dedicated revenue management and the other for online sales. In charge of revenue management is Patricia Sánchez who will be overseeing sales of green fees and hotel rooms at Rio Real golf resort. The new coordinator for the IT projects and online sales department is Juan José Martín.
“Rio Real Golf & Hotel is fully committed to new technology,” said Antonio Gómez Cava, Sales Manager. “We aim to stay at the forefront in the management side of our golf course as well as widening our knowledge.” He added that the company is convinced that the philosophy behind revenue management, where Rio Real Golf & Hotel leads the field, will add very positive aspects to income management since they have seen how useful it is over the last year.
“With these two new departments, we want to increase profit margins on green fees management on the one hand and on the other, add solid development to our resort’s technological system,” said Gómez.
The latest department represent the next step in the management modernisation strategy for Río Real Golf & Hotel, a pioneer in introducing dynamic pricing in the golf industry and the application of revenue management techniques. The strategy also includes upgrading course installations through measures such as recently commissioning golf architect David Krause to remodel part of the course.
