New Hi-Tech Teaching Workshop Staged In The UK

4.30pm 24th August 2018 - Management Topics

An exclusive two-day workshop, where PGA professionals can discover how to use the most advanced technology to maximise their business revenues, is being staged in the UK for the first time next month.

Liam Mucklow

On behalf of The Golf Lab, the widely-respected scientific establishment set up by former PGA of Canada Teacher of the Year Liam Mucklow in Toronto, Foresight Sports Europe is staging The Golf Lab Certified Golf Engineer workshop at the Bromsgrove Golf Centre in the West Midlands on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th September inclusive.

During the workshop, Mucklow will share his extensive knowledge of cutting-edge golf teaching technology and be joined by bio-mechanics authority Dr. Scott Lynn to introduce various technologies from Foresight Sports, Swing Catalyst, K-Motion and Gears. The emphasis will be on how best to interpret data for the most effective results.

“This will be the most comprehensive workshop of its kind ever staged in the UK,” said Liam Mucklow. “We’ll be walking participants through the inner workings of the latest teaching devices so they can fully appreciate the benefits and opportunities to grow their businesses,” he added.

The workshop consists of four core modules designed to help club professionals better understand the strengths and limitations of the latest technology devices and how to structure them to provide maximum benefit for their clients. These are coaching with 2D video, coaching with 3D motion capture, ground reaction forces and launch monitors.

“Those professionals who want to take their lessons, fittings and knowledge to another level should sign up for this workshop. We believe the return on investment will be both rapid and significant.” said Foresight Sports Europe Director Edward Doling.

“There has never been such an insightful look at what technology can deliver for coaching or club fitting and how best to utilise it effectively – we expect the limited number of tickets to sell out quickly,” he added.

Over the intensive two days, participants will be shown how to isolate KPIs for precision data collection; how technology captures, interprets and presents information; how engineering principles facilitate and guide creative thought on performance; and how to use multiple types of new technology to gain versatile qualitative information.

In addition, all PGA members who take part in the workshop will be credited with 50 CPD points by The Professional Golfers Association for successful participation in such a meaningful event.

The cost of attending the workshop will be charged in Canadian dollars, since The Golf Lab is a Canadian company, and depending on currency fluctuations will be approximately £615.
