New GTC Workshops for 2014

8.37am 17th February 2014 - Management Topics

GTC logoFollowing the success of its two employer focused workshops during BTME in Harrogate, the GTC is now looking to arrange “Getting your bunkering right” and “Making your golf course safe” events throughout Britain.

Having received excellent feedback for the content and the workshop trainers from the eighty delegates, David Golding, GTC’s Education Director, believes employers are now looking to learn much more on such important subjects from experts with wide experience in the field.

David adds, “The GTC has hosted 20+ employer workshops in England and Wales for Chair of Green, Secretary Managers and Course Managers with Laurence Pithie, Turfmaster One as the trainer and these will continue during 2014.”

The “Getting your bunkering right” workshop will again feature Laurence Pithie of Turfmaster One who will be joined by Howard Swan, golf course architect at Swan Golf Designs, who, between them, tackle the design, renovation and maintenance and contentious elements of bunkers.

Howard Swan will be joined by Tom Searle and Jon Allbutt from Britrisk Safety to help delegates make their golf course safe, a vital element of course layout and design together with operation and management, so important with employee and customer care in mind but so often overlooked in any proactive way. The trainers will address all aspects of this in a highly informative and interactive way.

These workshops are not to be missed. Venues and dates will be announced shortly. To contact the GTC call: 01347 838640 or email: golf@the-gtc.co.uk
