Murrayshall Country Estate in Scotland has reported a 16% increase in new members this year and a rise in rounds played on the back of a four-year investment plan that has significantly enhanced the club’s facilities and reputation.
Set within 365 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside, Murrayshall offers a unique golfing experience with two parkland golf courses and a total of 27 holes. Ranked No.34 in National Club Golf’s Top 100 UK & Ireland Golf Resorts and No.11 in Scotland, Murrayshall’s championship course has hosted prestigious events such as the Scottish National U16s Championship and the Scottish PGA Pro-Am. These high-profile tournaments solidify its position as a premier golfing destination and have driven a 15% increase in green fee rounds this year.
A recent £1 million investment has modernised the Murrayshall championship course with a US-style parkland layout, enhanced drainage, renovated bunkers, and a new fleet of Jacobsen mowers, all of which have improved the course’s playability and extended the playing season.
Plans are also underway to build a new golf academy with 17 bays and two teaching bays, enhancing the practice facilities and pro shop.
Darrin Urquhart Golf Course Manager said, “Murrayshall’s growth reflects our commitment to quality and community. We’ve focused on both the golf experience and our facilities, and the feedback speaks for itself. Golfers are continually impressed by the immaculate condition of our greens, and we are the ideal choice for golfers seeking a top-tier experience in Scotland.”
General Manager at Murrayshall Country Estate, Gary Silcock said, “Our ongoing investment in world-class amenities and exceptional service, both on and off the course, is attracting more members and guests. People are recognising the unique quality and charm that Murrayshall offers, and we are well positioned to continue this momentum and welcome even more golfers who seek a premier experience.”
