Haydock Park Golf Club has partnered with local hotel, The Kirkfield to facilitate golf break packages and bookings.
In the partnership formed with the newly refurbished hotel located within a half a mile of the Haydock Park Golf Club, Stephen Nicholson, Business Manager of the Club describes the reason for the partnership; “We have identified a number of areas that could potentially generate the golf club more visitors and in turn increased revenue. The golf breaks and golf tours market is one of those areas that we’re looking to capitalise on and by partnering with other like-minded local businesses we are now able to provide an additional opportunity for golfers to visit our Club and the area of Newton-le-Willows.”
The Kirkfield Hotel was completely refurbished and reopened in October 2018. With a residential offering along with a dedicated food & beverage operation through the day and well into the night. With live music taking place every Friday, the venue is already a firm favourite with the locals.
To help increase the room bookings side of the hotel business the Hotel Manager, Terence Southward contacted Stephen some time ago about the possibility of partnering up and now the deal is done here’s what Terence has to say about the partnership; “Anything that can drive more revenue into your business can only be a good thing. Having spent most of my career running hotel, golf resorts I know how lucrative this market can be and with the golf club only just down the road it’s an ideal arrangement.
“Stephen and I have negotiated terms and extended benefits to both members of the golf club and general visitors here so that the partnership has even more mutual benefits for all involved. We’ve already seen the benefit of this with many golf club members visiting us for a late evening tipple and we are excited to build this relationship well into the future.”

Haydock Park Golf Club is an 18-hole course located close to Junction 23 of the M6 and M62 motorways. The course was re-designed by James Braid and is one of the oldest golf clubs in England dating back to 1877.
