Dublin-based GolfNow has launched the Let’s Play 9 campaign for 2012 to entice new players and bring people back to the game that may have stopped playing in recent years.
Research shows that 20% of people haven’t played golf in the last two years because it takes too much time. Let’s Play 9 is a response to the increasingly busy lifestyles of many would be golfers. Michael Steele from Golfnow added: “We are encouraging people to come out after work on the long summer evenings and play for a couple of hours at a great rate in a fun environment.”
Golfers will benefit from the great rates, 9 holes for €9 in most cases. GolfNow are also actively encouraging non-traditional golf groups to come along and try the game for the first time; which is perfect for families or those who have been away from the game for a long time.
GolfNow currently have over 120 courses on their platform across Ireland and Scotland and are actively encourage them all to participate. The benefits are clear, in 2011 the first year of the initiative, the growth in golf played after 5pm rose by 104% – Steele concluded: “We have just kicked off Let’s Play 9 2012 and currently feature inventory at Elmgreen, Corballis, Sutton, Moyvalley, New Forest and Navan among others.”
