The GCMA are launching a new mentoring programme – and are inviting industry professionals to get involved.
GCMA Mentor is designed to support the professional and personal development of experienced and successful golf club managers, to develop leadership, communication and coaching skills as they take on the role of guiding the next generation of leaders.
GCMA Mentors will be responsible for supporting the development of up and coming golf club managers and those new to the industry looking to develop their careers and become golf club managers in the future.
They will also be involved in group and one-to-one sessions as well as the GCMA education programme, with the launch of a series of new education events in 2022.
Tom Brooke, GCMA chief executive (pictured above), said: “We are really excited to announce our new mentoring programme: GCMA Mentor.
“If you are a current golf club manager, high achieving and passionate about leadership, coaching and development, and really interested in supporting the next generation of industry professionals, then you could be just what we’re looking for to become a GCMA Mentor.
“If you’re new to the industry and looking to develop your career in golf club management, then why not take part in the programme and learn from some of the very best golf club managers in the industry?
“Either way, if you’d like more details and to register your interest, please get in contact with us. We look forward to hearing from you soon.”
Further details will be revealed in September, along with the opening of the application process for the role of GCMA Mentor.
In the meantime, if you would like to register your interest to become a GCMA Mentor, or take part in the programme as a GCMA Mentee and learn from some of the very best golf club managers and leaders in the country, then please contact the GCMA at memberservices@gcma.org.uk
