The Federation of Sport and Play Association (FSPA) is delighted to announce that it is offering a free social media seminar for all its members. It will take place in Warwickshire (venue TBC) on 23rd September 2015.
The seminar entitled ‘Beyond the Basics: Using Social Media for Business Impact and Results’ is aimed at a mid-experience/advanced audience and will be split into 4 sessions covering:
- Using social media for reputation management and to develop brand awareness – looking at examples to demonstrate how integrated campaigns can be used to create brand ‘impressions’ or to manage poor reputation/good reputation, including customer care
- Using social media for sales, pitching and strategic planning – understanding the opportunities presented by digital tools to support these fields and provide added value
- Measuring return on investment in web-based marketing – looking at ways we can use the various tools to get better understanding of audiences, activities and contribution to the bottom line
- Recent developments in social and digital media – what the future looks like
There will also be one hour lunchtime one-to-one ‘surgery’ sessions that attendees can book ten minute slots in.
The seminar will be led by Helen Hammond. Helen is a marketing and business development specialist working for organisations across the UK and the USA. She began her career in Oxford University spin-off companies, building e-learning, e-commerce and online communities. Helen followed this with many years in-house before setting up Elephant Creative to deliver marketing, PR, social media and business development expertise in plain English. Over the past eight years she has grown Elephant Creative into one of the leading agencies of its type.
Helen said: “Whilst we may all have accepted that social media is here to stay, understanding exactly what to do with it can be a different matter. More importantly, using it to contribute to business growth and success can seem impossible when it appears, on first look, to be limited to teenagers and film stars. You’re not alone in thinking this. This session will go beyond the basics and provide a comprehensive guide to using social and digital technologies to achieve commercial goals, as well as preparing for the future.”
For further information and to register for attendance please contact FSPA Marketing Manager – Ciara Morgan – ciara@sportsandplay.com
Ciara said “Helen is offering FSPA members a bespoke seminar, she uses relevant examples and delivers common-sense content both in the advice she gives and the way she phrases it. She regularly lectures at UWE and Oxford Brookes University on social media and is widely published on the subject. If you only attend one free FSPA seminar this year, you should make this it. Companies are welcome to send more than one representative”
