In the aftermath of Foremost’s Regional Spring Workshops, participants have paid tribute to the organisation, help and esteemed advice which they were given.
The series of educational workshops was aimed at developing the skills of its members and establishing their credentials as key employees at their respective golf clubs.
Those who attended received expert advice on how to differentiate themselves from their off-course competitors by highlighting tuition, custom fitting and other services only a qualified PGA on-course member can provide.
Foremost CEO, Paul Hedges, who lead the presentation on buying, was thrilled at the workshops’ achievements: “Given the feedback we have received from the members who attended, the workshops were clearly an overriding success.
“At Foremost, we aim to educate our members in a wide range of subjects, and the workshops have unquestionably helped to do that. All the professionals seemed to agree that the workshops were of huge value to their business.”
The members were treated to all-encompassing business tutorials, including separate advice sessions on sales and marketing, buying and merchandising, along with extensive advice on how best to serve their clients.
Darren Parris, Head Professional at North Foreland Golf Club, said: “These workshops have come at the right time of year, through what has been a tough period. The information gained has allowed me to look at my business opening up new avenues which will help me to manage my stock better.”
The Workshops are approved by the PGA and attendance counts towards the Continual Professional Development (CPD) programme. Information collated from the Workshops will be shared, allowing the PGA to organise future presentations for non-Foremost professionals at which Foremost will assist if required.
Echoing Darren Parris’ comments, James Fuller, Head Professional at Chigwell Golf Club, said: “It is fantastic to get the on-going support that we do from Foremost Golf. To have these workshops covering key areas of our business helps motivate us all and can only help us to grow and improve our bottom line.”
The Regional Spring Workshop’s took place across the country from 28 February to 14 March and will certainly help Foremost Professionals develop their business into a more productive organisation.
